Volunteer Program Overview

Volunteers are the backbone of the Safe Shelter of St. Vrain Valley’s efforts to stop domestic violence: they provide support for victims in addition to educating the community. We know that giving back to the community can be a rewarding experience, and we are eager to use your skills to create a mutually advantageous relationship.

There are many Volunteer Opportunities at the Safe Shelter of St. Vrain Valley.

When you act as an advocate against domestic violence you have an opportunity for great personal growth, as well as exposure to various cultures, ethnicities and ideologies. Your decision to join the Safe Shelter team is not one to be taken lightly. Due to the important nature of our work, we ask for a 6-month commitment and require comprehensive training to enable our volunteers to have the greatest degree of effectiveness in the St. Vrain Valley community and surrounding areas.
