Position Summary: This position is accountable to and under the direct supervision of the Shelter Director. The residential Children’s Advocate is responsible for provision of overall Safe Shelter services with emphasis on support, individual and group counseling, advocacy, case management, and referral for children impacted by domestic violence and their parents. This is full-time, salaried, non-exempt. Hours may vary depending on needs of the organization; generally, hours will be noon-8pm Monday-Friday. Occasional overnights or weekend hours may be required according to the needs of the agency.


Social Media/Communications Internship

Job Description: This is an unpaid internship that will assist with management of the organization's social media (Facebook,Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.). This will include scheduling regular posts, monitoring comments and messages, and developing strategies to increase social media impact. Hours are flexible and some telecommuting is possible. 

Qualifications: Experience/interest in social media and digital marketing. Strong writing skills. Familiarity with social media platforms, strategies and tools.
